Kais Al Essa

Eng. Kais Abdulhameed Al Essa Got his BSc degree in Computer Engineering in 1994 from KFUPM, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Established Sahara Net while in college as a hobby in 1989, and in 1994, Sahara Net became the 1st ISP in Saudi Arabia, 4 years ahead of licensing the service officially. Worked in Saudi Aramco for 5 years then moved full time to Sahara Net to support its growth. Managed the company’s IT services and infrastructure until 2012, then moved to manage Sales C Marketing where he doubled sales in less than 3 years. Completed his MBA in 2016 and in the same year established Vision Ventures as an early-stage VC focused on MENA. Vision Ventures has been the most active VC in MENA since 2017. Kais likes to support and mentor startup founders to help them realize their dreams and accelerate their growth to build the next unicorn in the region.
