Abdulmajeed Alsukhan is the CEO & Co-founder of Tamara, the pioneering fintech company established in 2020. Under his leadership, Tamara quickly ascended to become the first Saudi fintech startup to achieve unicorn status in December 2023. Furthermore, Tamara made history by being the first fintech company to receive a full consumer finance license from the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) in March 2025, enabling it to offer a broader range of financial services. Abdulmajeed has been instrumental in expanding access to credit and trusted payment solutions for millions across Saudi Arabia and the UAE, growing Tamara into a trusted brand serving millions of customers. Prior to co-founding Tamara, Abdulmajeed's entrepreneurial journey started in 2016 with the launch of Habli. This Saudi-based logistics provider specialized in grocery delivery and quickly gained traction, leading to its acquisition by Nana in the same year. He began his career at the Saudi Central Bank. Abdulmajeed completed a Master's in Economic Policy at Boston University and a Bachelor's in Financial Economics at California State University, Northridge.Beyond his professional achievements, Abdulmajeed is an avid reader, a dedicated marathon runner, and a devoted father to Nahar.
